How do I receive a download report?

When your payment has been confirmed, you will be given the address of the link to obtain the download. This address will appear on the webpage and you will also receive it on an email. Clicking on this link will open the report on the website. You then need to save the report to your desktop. The link remains available for five days. If the download fails or you are outside this timeframe, contact us for assistance by email.

Can I print a report?

Yes.
Please also note that our reports are prepared in colour to allow greater clarity of analysis and process schematics. If you choose to print a report on a black and white printer you should experiment with the different settings options for rendering colour based information within the print dialogue box, to optimise readability. Juniper does not provide customer support in relation to these matters. Nor do we provide black and white versions of our reports

What is in a typical technical report?

Juniper's independent reviews are prepared to a common set of parameters to allow the reader to gain a perspective on the relative merits of processes.
Each discusses the technology concept …
evaluates the performance of the process …
reports on environmental factors …
and assesses the economics of the system (to the extent that information is available in the public domain).
The analysis is based upon actual data from operational reference facilities where available. If we have to rely on indicative information from process companies we make this clear. In some cases we report our findings, but not the underlying data, to preserve the confidentiality of commercially sensitive information. The length of our review is affected by the amount of information made available to us by the process company and the complexity of the process.
For more information, please see a Sample Page and typical Table of Contents for a technical review.

Are Juniper's reports independent or have they been written by the process companies?

All Juniper's reports have been written by our own specialists and are completely independent.

How do the various types of report differ from one another?

A Process Review looks at one process from one supplier and includes analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of that specific process.
The Management Briefing considers a type of process and will identify the key process suppliers offering that type of technology. It will contain analysis of the technology grouping and include advantages and disadvantages for that type of process.
A Sourcing Guide contains a list of suppliers or processes for a particular technology group, with contact details, but does not contain any analysis of the technologies themselves.
JuniperRatings have been developed as a system for evaluating the various technology families and groupings.

Are the reports up-to-date?

The publication date for each report varies and is shown on both our Publications page and in the shopping catalogue.

Can I get updates?

We may issue updated reports from time to time. Reviews are updated when there is significant new information available that affects our judgement or the status of a particular technology grouping in the waste management market. In general, reports on novel technologies that are making rapid progress will be updated more frequently than those of either proven, mature processes or less credible processes.
If you have already bought a report and find that a revised version is available, please contact us. We will offer reduced prices for updated versions to existing customers. We may contact you direct if we have your details.

How can I be sure of the quality of the report?

Over the last ten years, Juniper has established an international reputation within the waste sector for our specialist technology reports. Over 10,000 organisations worldwide have used our reports. Please refer to our Customer List for purchasers of our earlier printed and CD-ROM products and to the Sample Pages for our new downloadable reports.

Can I pay in my country's currency?

All prices are in UK Pounds, but your credit card company will convert the price to your currency and this will appear on your credit card bill. If you want to get an idea of the approximate cost in your own currency, you can use one of the many currency converters on the web, such as www.xe.com or www.x-rates.com , www.ft.com

Do I have to pay sales tax (VAT)

Customers from outside the EU are not charged sales tax (VAT) on any of our products.
CD-ROMs and Downloads attract VAT (sales tax) in the UK and in the EU. All UK customers will be charged VAT (although VAT registered entities can reclaim VAT in the usual way). EU customers who are VAT registered should select the exempt box and enter their VAT number. You will then not be charged VAT.
Printed products are exempt from Sales tax (VAT).
You may also be charged a levy or tax by your local customs officials on physical products (printed or CD-ROM reports) when they enter your country's boundaries. These have nothing to do with Juniper and any such levies are your responsibility to pay. If in any doubt, please contact the appropriate authorities for your country.

Can I provide copies of the report to colleagues or put it on our intranet?

You may print a download report, or print from a multi-user licence CD-ROM, for your own purposes. You may not print multiple copies or print copies for use outside your own organisation or company. You may not put the report up on your own intranet or on an external website. See our Terms and Conditions. We will enforce our copyright to protect the investment in our analysis.

Can I have a printed report or CD-Rom instead of the download?

The new technical reports are available in electronic format only and as downloads from our website. If the ordering process is not available, we can supply the reports as emails. They are not available in printed or CD-ROM format.

How do I receive a paper or CD-Rom report?

Printed and CD-ROM reports are posted to you by normal mail (airmail outside the UK) as part of the purchase price. We will send you an email to confirm your order. If a printed format is not available, we will offer you a CD-ROM version as an alternative. If, because of this substitution, you wish to cancel your order, you may do so within 24 hours of receiving our email. If you do not cancel, we will process your order and despatch the reports to you. If you wish to receive the reports more quickly than normal mail, please select the courier option as part of your order. You will be charged extra for this service.

Can I get my money back?

Once you have paid for a downloadable report, you will not be able to get a refund. Once payment has been authorised, you will automatically be sent by email the link(s) to enable you to download your report(s).
For printed or CD-ROM products, we will confirm your order by email. If you wish to cancel at that stage, you need to tell us by email within 24 hours of receiving our email. After this time, we will ship the product to you. Once shipped, you are unable to cancel and we will not make a refund.
